Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full time Environmental Services Supervisor. This position is primarily day shift (8:30a - 5:00p), but must work weekends and off hours on occasion.

Responsibilities

Acts as liaison for Environmental Services Manager & Leads and Environmental Services Techs. Assist in the supervision of day to day activities of the facility and subordinates.

Inspects and surveys for compliance with departmental standards. Works with Manager to plan and achieve hospital and departmental goals and initiatives.

• Acts as liaison for Environmental Services Manager & Leads and Environmental Services Techs. Demonstrates an understanding of each assignment area's responsibilities and duties. Orients, trains employees, and assist in hiring.

• Assist in the supervision of day to day activities of subordinates.
  
  Inspects and surveys for compliance with departmental standards, documents discrepancies and plans course of action to correct deficiency with full knowledge of supervisory responsibilities.

• Works with Manager to plan and achieve hospital and departmental goals and initiatives.

• Performs day to day assignments in addition to lead duties as well all Environmental Services Tech duties.

• May assume the responsibility of Manager in his/her absence. Assists the Manager with scheduling and assigning work details, auditing exception reports on employee time management (clock in/out and vacation/sick).

• Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Department Director, Manager, Designee.

• Assist with policies and procedures and annual evaluations.

Education

High School Diploma/GED preferred

Skills

4 years supervisory experience preferred

4 years environmental health experience preferred
