The Environmental Services Director - Maintenance directs the supervisors and staff who perform job duties in Maintenance, Renovation, Landscaping, Housekeeping, Laundry, Transportation and Security for the entire campus. The EVS Director must have technical skills and expertise in all general areas of maintenance including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure staff receive adequate training to perform their work safely and correctly and that all training is documented.

  • Negotiate, hire and supervise facility related work performed by outside contractors.

  • Cost forecasting for projects and facility operations budget.

  • Manage operational costs within budget constraints.

  • Manage and refine the systems used for tracking outstanding and completed work requests.

  • Ensure campus wide compliance with all building and environmental codes, particularly Life Safety Code, Disaster Preparedness, OSHA and state and local authorities having jurisdiction.

  • Conduct and evaluate fire and disaster drills and training for all campus staff.

  • Promote and support the mission and the established policies and procedures at Christian Care Center.

Position Description Job Purpose: Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. To keep and report detailed records of financial transactions for the organization. Job Responsibilities: * Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards and report to management regarding the finances of establishment. * Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. * Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Reconcile and balance accounts. * Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts. * Summarize details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger. * May compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business. * May calculate employee wages from records or time cards and prepare checks for payment of wages. * May prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports. May compute, type, and mail monthly statements to customers. May complete records to, or through, trial balance. * Other duties as assigned. Job Skills: * Mathematics — Use mathematics to solve problems. * Reading Comprehension — Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents... * Use eyes, hands, and fingers at the same time to enter figures in books and forms, or to operate a calculator or personal computer. * Critical Thinking — Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. * Read and copy large quantities of numbers without error. * Active Listening — Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Job Qualifications: Education * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management preferred. Experience * Minimum two (2) years experience as a bookkeeping clerk with some supervisory responsibilities and two (2) years experience in the accounting field; OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
