Technical Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.

  • Stores hazard materials according to federal, state, local regulations and Sodexho/Client policies and procedures.

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards.

  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits and inspections, conducting safety-related training, and maintaining on-going communications with employees.

  • Creates and manages the budget by increasing revenue and controlling unit expenditures to ensure accuracy of operating and administrative budget.

  • Reviews financial statements to ensure performance is in accordance with business strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor and enforce Sodexho Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement standards.

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.

  • Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence

  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.

  • Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.

  • Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.

  • Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement

  • Associate's DegreeBasic Management Experience

  • 2 years

Basic Functional Experience

  • 2 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services

We thank you for your interest in SoBran SoBran is seeking an Animal Caretaker I (Temporary) for our facility in Browns Summit, North Carolina. Duties will include: * Perform routine animal husbandry. * Prepare and submit records, charts, logs, cage cards, and inventories as required by SOPs. * Perform cage wash duties. * Provide food and water to animals following SOPs or approved protocols. * Sanitize and decontaminate all areas of the facility. * Dispose of waste from the facility following appropriate SOPs. * Receive, examine, transfer, identify, and properly house incoming animal shipments according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Maintain and repair animal caging and support equipment. * Assist with receipt, stocking and maintenance of all supply inventories. * Dispose of animal carcasses following SOPs. * Assist with the restraint and manipulation of various animal species. * Understand and follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality assurance guidelines for animal care at all levels of biohazard containment. * Perform daily animal health surveillance checks and report any abnormal conditions of either the animals or the animal room environment to supervisory staff. * Maintain a daily animal census in assigned animal rooms. * Remove weanling animals to separate cages. * Maintain clean and organized work and personal areas. * Report any abnormal conditions of the animal facility or immediate vicinity to supervisory staff. * Perform other duties under supervision, as assigned. Work Schedule: * Weekend and holiday work is required in this position; in addition to extra hours during emergency situations and for study related activities. Requirements: * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. * Must complete the required training and receive clearance on the duties of Laboratory Animal Caretaker I as outlined below. * Animal husbandry experience preferred. * GLP knowledge and experience preferred. * Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs; bend, stoop, climb, and stand for a prolonged period.
