Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • For safety and quality reasons, must be able to effectively communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors, and fellow members of the hospital team.

As part of Guest Services/Environmental Services team, this position:

  • Cleans non-inpatient areas.

  • Initiates the seven step cleaning process when cleaning a patient room, which includes trash/recycling, high dusting, damp wiping, cleaning restrooms, dust mopping, damp mopping, bed making and final room inspection

  • Restocks paper products, trash bags and soap supplies throughout patient and public areas.

  • Introduces oneself when appropriate with customer groups. Represents the hospital professionally by wearing a visible name tag and neat uniform. Is respectful of the patient's privacy and personal items.

  • Communicates with the Service Response Center on a regular basis to accept and close out tasks.

  • Maintains a clutter-free environment.

  • Assists in emergency situations throughout hospital following department specific requirements.

  • Remove curtains, launders and rehangs as needed.

  • Moves and empties shredding bins/bags

  • Set up and break down of conference room and other events, including set up of audio visual needs.

  • Monitors and replaces regulated medical waste (red bags / sharps) using infectious control procedures.

  • Clean and disinfect portable medical equipment and carts.

  • Disinfects keyboard, phones and medical equipment daily

  • Attends meetings and daily huddles.

22.5 hours weekly evening shift including weekend and holiday rotation

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Design and Procure Environmental wastewater systems. * Perform pre-installation site visits to ensure compatibility of equipment designs with current facilities configurations. * Provide Hands-On support of plant systems. * Perform detailed Site Visit Reports, Project Materials Listings, Purchase Orders, Shipping Documents, Invoice Processes, Equipment Installation Schedules and other administrative support documents as required. * Provide On-Site supervision and direction to UniFirst and Contractor personnel to facilitate expeditious installation of systems. * Oversee Contractors to ensure scope of work items are completed to UniFirst quality standards and as scheduled per negotiated contracts. * Order all materials and supplies in a timely manner ensuring there are no work stoppages due to a lack of parts. * Perform Electrical installation and design support. Qualifications Education & Experience: * Degree in Environmental Engineering or equal certification with job experience * Minimum 3 years of Environmental Process Control related design, operation and installation of such systems. Skills & Qualifications: * Interpret detailed installation diagrams for Wastewater piping and Electrical installations. Programming skills using programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) systems. Additional Information: * Must be willing to travel (approximately 70%).
