Daily Work Times: 7:30am to 4:00 pm

Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 80

Position Summary:

Maintains cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, and disinfecting. Cleans patients rooms for occupancy after discharge.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1.Sets up, organizes, cleans and maintains work area.

• Cleans items such as, but not limited to, floors, restrooms, showers, tubs, furniture, windows, lights, drinking fountains, fire extinguishers, and waste baskets.

• Maintains cleanliness by using methods such as, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, damp mopping, vacuuming, washing, wiping, polishing, disinfecting as appropriate and spot wash walls.

• Responsible for correct use of cleaning compounds.

• Responsible for using and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.

• Replaces supplies as needed.

• May be assigned to change drapes, shower curtains and cubicles.

• Prepares patient room for occupancy after patient is discharged.

• Participates in performance improvement activities.

• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
