Who are we looking for?
Our office Omaha, NE is looking to bring onboard an Environmental Scientist to join our growing team to provide consulting services for a wide range of environmental projects and industries, particularly construction and railroad. Job responsibilities include managing and reviewing environmental data, collaborating to envision digital data management solutions and drive efficiency, conducting multi-media environmental compliance audits, reviewing and communicating environmental regulatory requirements, conducting Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, and managing and preparing environmental documents, such as Chemicals HASPs, TRI/EPCRA reports, SPCC plans, SWPPPs, and FRPs. You will join a strong, agile, and collaborative EHS team, to ensure environmental compliance and lasting positive impact in our communities. You will manage timelines and budgets, direct tasks, partner with vendors, mentor junior staff, and get to know exceptional clients.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Effectively manage short- and long-term environmental compliance projects
Build relationships with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and peers
Lead, prepare, and/or review environmental plans and reports
What you will bring to the team:
B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
Five to ten years of environmental compliance experience
High attention to detail and strong writing skills
Solid understanding of U.S. environmental regulatory framework (Canada is a plus)
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Railroad and/or construction industry experience
Additional certification such as CIH, PE, and/or CEA is a plus
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is a plus
Multi-media environmental compliance auditing experience is a plus
Existing agency and client relationships are a plus
Mentoring and supervision skills are a plus
Commitment to regulatory compliance and client experience
Project coordination or management skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills
An openness to innovation
