Overview

LMI is seeking applicants for an environmental safety engineer position in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC region. LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. This position will be providing direct client support within various client locations in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues affecting Government facilities

  • Draft policy statements, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, newsletter articles and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the Government

  • Develop and/or review applicable environmental compliance and management plans

  • Review National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and provide Facilities' project managers advice on NEPA applicability

  • Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state and federal regulations

  • Conduct environmental compliance inspections/audits/evaluations as directed by the Government to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and Presidential Executive Orders

  • Update and monitor environmental regulatory permits held by the Government

  • Develop and conduct environmental compliance training for Government employees and contractors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering

  • Five (5) years of related experience

  • Nationally recognized environmental credential desired (Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Professional Engineer (PE), etc.)

  • This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance*

VIEW JOBS 1/25/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-04-25T00:00 Overview LMI has an immediate need for a Metrics and Data Visualization Analyst to work onsite with our client in either Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will serve on the analytics staff for a U.S. Federal Government Agency working with classified media. The Data Visualization and Metrics Analysts will develop and analyze metrics and visualize trends and analysis using Tableau and other data visualization and business intelligence software. Responsibilities The Metrics and Data Visualization Analyst will: * develop performance metrics, conduct statistical analyses, and apply decision models to address business process challenges for a federal government agency; * develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau or other data visualization tools; * perform metrics data collection and a variety of statistical analyses using Microsoft Excel and SAS software; * conduct extensive quality control and record keeping procedures to ensure the highest levels of data integrity; * research data and develop program review materials; and * research best practices procedures pertaining to performance metrics and performance standards. Qualifications * Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph * Bachelor's Degree in statistics, business administration, or a related field including coursework in basic statistics and measurement is required * Extensive experience working with Microsoft Excel with significant understanding of formulas and macros is required * Minimum of 1 year of experience performing statistical analysis and/or creating and applying performance metrics is desired * 2-4 years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau or other data visualization tools * Familiarity with content and structure of HR-related data sets and data sources within the IC * Experience analyzing data from large datasets using geospatial and/or statistical analysis tools * Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and business intelligence software, including recent versions Tableau * Extensive experience developing visualizations and deploying those visualizations to server environments, such as publishing dashboards created in Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server * Experience developing content for and delivering training to others on the use of Tableau or a similar business intelligence software * Experience with ETL tools, performing ETL processes, and enhancing and automating queries from data sources, such as relational databases and flat files * Experience developing and delivering data visualization training, managing and tracking end user requests, and troubleshooting issues with data visualization tools * Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with business customers and technical teams * Applicants for this position may be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
