Job Description:

The ESH Specialist supervises and oversees safety programs for dedicated shift. The ESH Specialist will conduct accident investigations, promote safety awareness, conduct safety audits, and support security on their designated shift. The ESH Specialist will be responsible for assisting, conducting, and reporting employee incident investigations. The ESH Specialist will make presentations and conduct safety talks and comply with plant polices, and if necessary, assists supervision in recommending discipline as directed by policy.

Essential Functions (in order of job importance):

  • Supervise, conduct, and oversee accident prevention, investigation and root cause analysis

  • Supervise and oversee safety issues and safety programs

  • Conduct safety monitoring

  • Assist in security issues

  • Perform safety presentations and safety awareness talks when and where necessary.

  • Supervise safety programs while ensuring worker compliance with all plant work policies, environmental and safety, and Human Resource policies

  • The ability to perform Safety Supervisor responsibilities with flexibility in shift scheduling

  • Supervise light duty program

  • Perform other duties as directed by the Safety Specialist

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or 3 years relevant experience

  • ISO and TS knowledge

  • Experience with Microsoft office suite

  • Ability to work rotating shift pattern (nights/weekends)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with relevant internship

  • Tire process & manufacturing knowledge
