About the Position: The position is for an Environmental Protection Specialist with Arlington National Cemetery, located in Arlington, VA. Serve as the Environmental Compliance Program Manager for Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and Soldiers? and Airmen?s Home National Cemetery (SAHNC).
Coordinate a variety of environmental programs such as, but not limited to: water/wastewater, air quality, solid/hazardous waste, compliance assessments, pollution prevention, natural resources, site remediation, stewardship and sustainability.
Ensures program is integrated with other programs to ensure ANC is in compliance with all environmental laws and regulations.
Review policies and regulations from Department of the Army (DA), US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ), and state and local environmental agencies to determine impacts on area activities
Coordinate with other program managers, comparing programs, requirements, analyzes comparative data looking for inequities and inefficiencies in ANC's Environmental Compliance Program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting on-site inspections to ensure installation programs are compliant with environmental regulations; participating in the development of environmental protection operating procedures; working with a variety of environmental programs such as water/wastewater, air quality, hazardous waste, and pollution prevention; identifying areas with potentially harmful environmental impacts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
