As an Environmental Project Engineer/Manager, you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the public sector, manufacturing, energy, and real-estate markets. You'll perform environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, remedial design, environmental permitting and compliance, data management, and reporting. This position will include a mix of both field and office work associated with environmental evaluations. You'll interact with clients, contractors, regulators, local government officials, and the public to help our clients complete their projects while adhering to environmental regulations and sustainable business goals.
Your Day-to-Day:
Lead Projects: Manage small to medium projects independently, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable business goals.
Field Operations: Plan and execute field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and data collection. Lead teams during fieldwork.
Technical Expertise: Conduct engineering and technical computations, verify calculations, review laboratory data, and formulate recommendations.
Client Interaction: Engage with clients, contractors, regulators, local government officials, and the public to ensure project success.
Report Preparation: Coordinate and prepare professional reports, adhering to company policies and technical best practices.
Proposal Development: Develop scope and fee proposals for small to medium projects under senior guidance.
What You Bring:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology or related field
4+ years of environmental consulting experience
Professional licensure (PG or PE) in North Carolina, or ability to obtain
Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing methods, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies/representatives
OSHA 1910.120 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
Ability to travel and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
