Environmental Manager

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 11 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

Rogers Group is currently seeking an Environmental Manager at our corporate office located in Nashville, TN. The Environmental Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and promoting environmental responsibility across our operations. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and strategic environmental management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of pollution control to ensure compliance with air, water, mining, and other applicable regulations.

• Prepare and submit modification and renewal applications for water, air, mining, and other relevant permits.

• Develop and update site plans to reflect environmental considerations.

• Conduct internal audits to assess and report environmental performance at quarries, asphalt plants, shops, and construction sites.

• Perform impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate environmental risks and associated costs.

• Prepare and present information related to Rezoning Requests.

• Lead project planning, management, and design for environmentally focused initiatives, providing accurate cost estimates.

• Promote environmental awareness and responsibilities through training and engagement at all organizational levels.

• Coordinate effectively with municipal and state agencies, fostering collaborative relationships.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (consideration given to other relevant Environmental disciplines).

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in environmental management.

• Proficiency in Federal and State Mining, Water, and Air Regulations across multiple states.

• Required certifications/experience in stormwater pond design, erosion and sedimentation processes, and AutoCAD software.

• Preferred knowledge of 401 and 404 permitting and Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports.

• Must be willing to travel as required.

• Valid Driver's License.
