Environmental Manager - Manufacturing

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Environmental Manager to join our leadership team at our state-of-the-art Paperboard Manufacturing Facility in Texarkana, TX. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to drive environmental excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster positive community relations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the facility's environmental strategy and HSE Management System
• Manage environmental compliance with federal and state regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, TSCA, SARA)
• Develop and oversee the environmental budget
• Conduct environmental audits and implement improvement initiatives
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders
• Provide environmental training and guidance to staff
• Manage environmental incident investigations and corrective actions
• Oversee environmental permitting and reporting processes
• Collaborate with health and safety teams to deliver a comprehensive HSE program

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of environmental management experience in manufacturing
• 3+ years leading teams and managing large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
• Experience with HSE data management systems (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, VelocityEHS)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) certification preferred
• Paper manufacturing experience a plus
