With the guidance and mentoring of senior staff, this position will provide a "hands-on" learning experience in the environmental profession. Examples of intern responsibilities include:
Perform routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision
May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Collects and prepares data for evaluation.
Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their sophomore year within an Environmental Engineering or Science curriculum
A GPA of at least a 3.0 is required
Some course work related to water and wastewater.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and ArcGIS software presentation graphics and rendering skills
Ability to work in a team environment or independently
Knowledgeable of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus Knowledgeable of ArcGIS is a plus
Basic understanding of civil engineering design is a plus
