Intern Responsibilities:

With the guidance and mentoring of senior staff, this position will provide a "hands-on" learning experience in the environmental profession. Examples of intern responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision

  • May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

  • Collects and prepares data for evaluation.

  • Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.

  • Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their sophomore year within an Environmental Engineering or Science curriculum

  • A GPA of at least a 3.0 is required

  • Some course work related to water and wastewater.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and ArcGIS software presentation graphics and rendering skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently

  • Knowledgeable of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus Knowledgeable of ArcGIS is a plus

  • Basic understanding of civil engineering design is a plus
