Ensure that compliance requirements and other environmental health and safety requirements of Valeo Group are identified, established and implemented.
Ensure that the management system which is put in place does contribute to continuous improvement in performance.
Assumes the role (over time) of environmental health and safety expert and advisor
Check that all safety and security equipment are in compliance with requirements and are in good condition.
Carry out risk analysis and monitor regulatory surveys (noise, air testing, water sampling, etc.).
Establish the site "Health, Safety, Security and Environment" operation procedures and oversee their application.
Carry out inspections and internal audits, make recommendations and specify corresponding actions as well as responsibility for implementation.
Implement and monitor actions relating to the handling of any non-compliance revealed by the inspections, internal audits and external audits, taking the necessary investments into account.
Be aware of developments in the legislation (OSHA, TOSHA, EPA).
Manage communication on accidents registered and promote a safety, environmental, and security attitude throughout the plant.
To check that budgets do indeed include the investment which is to be made
Propose "Health, Safety, Security and Environment" operating budgets and the necessary investment to the Site Management, and manage them.
Education / Training:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health Science, Industrial Hygene, Human Resources Management, Engineering or similar and relevant field of study
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Environmental Health & Safety, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of OSHA and workplace safety
