Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated health and safety professional to grow and lead this practice area working collaboratively as part of our best in class environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance team. This leader will be working primarily with large industrial clients as part of an integrated service offering to drive solutions for our clients. Responsibilities will be split between technical EHS consulting, business development, project management, and client management. Your role will be growth focused by supporting business development activities, providing innovative solutions to client challenges, establishing long-term relationships with our clients, mentoring staff, and growing the team. What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:

Based out of our Canton, Massachusetts, or other New England offices, responsibilities will include business development and onsite work at client facilities, overseeing/managing and growing our portfolio of health and safety work, working with practice leaders to integrate health and safety throughout our environmental compliance and environmental, health and safety offerings, and expanding and supporting our team of health and safety professionals.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or other EHS related field.

  • 8-15 + years' experience in the EHS consulting field with in-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • CSP credential. CIH credential or ability to test for CIH is a plus.

  • Leadership experience in growing a team and business portfolio.

  • Experience conducting health and safety audits, developing health and safety programs, and conducting industrial hygiene and indoor air quality assessments.

  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel required.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

  • 40-hour OSHA training is a plus.

  • Must be self-motivated, creative, and willing to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: * Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions * Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors * Working with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirement * Executing initiatives, programs, reports, and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance. * Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations * Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place * Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs. * Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities. * Position requires to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis. Qualifications You Must Have: * Typically requires a university degree with 5 years applicable EH&S experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of EH&S applicable experience or in the absence of the degree, 9 years of EH&S applicable experience is required. * The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
