RESPONSIBIITIES AND DUTIES:
Lead the development and effective implementation of the PTI Safety Policies and practices. Review and update all safety policies annually.
Reduce injuries by engaging all employees in all safety programs. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure all employees are properly trained and comply with policies and programs. Ensure managers/supervisors are aware of their responsibilities for safety.
Lead the joint health and safety committees and the ergonomics committees, facilitating meetings and directing activities of committee members as needed.
Ensure PTI is kept abreast of all local, state/provincial, and federal regulations and changes to those regulations. Ensure regulations are communicated to the IATF16949/ISO9001 system as required.
Responsible for implementing and coordinating all emergency response measures. Facilitates necessary Emergency Response Team training including First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
Perform air monitoring, noise level testing and other testing as necessary for all PTI plants. Participate in all investigations of serious injuries and near misses.
Coordinating ISO 14000 activities and efforts to ensure continued compliance.
Create, maintain and facilitate performance of an action plan to ensure all safety and environmental requirements are performed in a timely manner.
Participate in corporate sponsored programs. (i.e. Accident investigations, injury reporting analysis, equipment audits, and preventative maintenance inspections.)
Provide a monthly summary of all safety and environmental activities.
Serve on the internal audit team to ensure the continued compliance of IATF16949/ISO9001 systems.
Conduct Safety, EHS, 5S and general manufacturing related training as required.

Ability to learn new duties and adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of time.
