We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to assist our Northeast Regional EHS Manager to provide overall leadership to assigned manufacturing facilities in the Eastern United States and provide support for corporate EHS initiatives. The position is located in Pine Brook, NJ and requires travel up to 30% including worldwide travel up to 5%. We are conveniently located close to Routes 80, 287, and 46. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance at the Federal, State and Local levels. Duties also include planning, developing, and delivery of safety training and management of hazardous & non-hazardous waste, air quality and water quality programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who possesses problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills to direct the activities of our manufacturing facilities as they relate to environmental and safety operations.
Ten or more years of combined progressive responsibility for health, safety and environmental programs in multi-site high tech manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in environment, safety, engineering or science.
Working knowledge of U.S. environmental & safety regulations at both the federal and state level, as well as major international regulations such as REACH and WEEE.
Maintains compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA, OSHA and other EHS regulations.
Audit experience in safety and environmental areas.
Support contract review process to identify and qualify facilities' abilities to meet customer requirements.
Ability to anticipate and handle multiple priorities and complex/abstract issues.
Able to balance financial, operational, safety and environmental objectives.
Effective communicator with co-workers, customers, suppliers and third party auditors.
Proven ability to lead and motivate people.
Experience with emergency operations and development of contingency plans.
Ability to travel 25-30% including worldwide travel up to 5%.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
