Environmental Health Safety Coordinator - Automotive

An automotive parts manufacturing company by the Circleville, OH area is searching for a motivated EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Coordinator to join their facility. This is a full-time and direct hire position on day shift.

Responsibilities Include: Research, planning, and implementation of improved safety standards and procedures Communicate internally and externally in an effort to ensure any unsafe working conditions are properly identified and resolved Documentation of safety / environmental hazard incidents and follow-up Monitoring of potential environmental hazards and assistance with incident prevention planning Planning and executing safety & environmental audits Keep up-to-date with changes in local and federal regulations for safety and environmental standards Coordination of regular EHS training for company employees Other duties as assigned Requirements Include: Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental Health and Safety-related field preferred, OR equivalent training and work experience Valid OSHA and / or similar Health & Safety certification is highly preferred 5 years of related work experience in EHS functions, ideally in a manufacturing environment Familiar with ISO 14001 Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision. Direct applicants only.
