As part of a diverse and hardworking team of EHS specialists, you will assist in the implementation of all Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the Florida site. Technical safety program areas include, but not limited to: explosives, cryogenics, lasers, robotics, process safety management, and radiation safety. You must have a passion for continuous improvement of a safety culture and building agile safety processes. During the night shift, you will support operational EHS needs. You will oversee waste disposal and remediation work including hazardous and non-hazardous waste; ensure local compliance auditing; execute the emergency response plans; indoctrinate in-field employees and contractors on our Safety Program and deliver training; assist in investigations of injuries and illnesses, as well as near misses; and support the development of job hazard analyses.

Responsibilities:
Provide resolution and solutions to operational needs
Perform duties associated with the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste to include but not limited to: consolidating, labeling, inspection, and waste shipment coordination
Conduct routine environmental and safety inspections include but not limited to: storm water, SPCC, wastewater, and fire extinguishers, eyewash stations
Participate on monthly safety walks and safety committee; follow up on corrective actions
Collect and enter data into EHS software modules
Conduct facility and equipment inspections
Conduct atmospheric monitoring and support industrial hygiene
Serve as a resource to work groups as EHS questions or issues arise
Assist in incident investigations, including follow-up actions as required
Assist in the review and work group development of Job Hazard Analysis
Perform health and safety audits as required
Run reports to convey information in a logical format
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
This is an entry to mid-level position
Associate's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field required; 3-5 years of industry-related experience preferred
Must successfully complete RCRA and DOT training within six months of the position for hazardous waste storage, disposal, and transportation
Must be willing to obtain other certifications including forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED
Must be willing to work D shift (Approx. 10PM to 06:00AM, Monday thru Friday and sometimes weekends)
Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws/environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance
Self-starter and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that is able to build relationships with employees at all levels
Strong computer aptitude including the latest Microsoft Office programs
Strong self-management skills to keep on track with weekly and monthly tasks
Must be flexible and able to work all hours, including weekends and off shifts as required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desired:
8 years in aerospace industry or industrial operations
Knowledge of Washington State safety and environmental regulations
HAZMAT and/or emergency response team experience
