What this job involves -

The Environmental, Health, and Safety professional is responsible for ensuring compliance, implementation and managing the internal safety programs, third party contractor authorization platform compliance in conjunction with JLL Health and Safety operations across a portfolio and ensure compliance with safety and protocols that meets JLL, client and statutory requirements.

Your day to day:

• Drive implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives regarding high risk activities such as Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Electrical Safety, and Elevated Work.

• Inspect and maintain inventory of reports and equipment.

• Assist the authorization, verification and compliance of contractors within the ISNetworld platform.

• Provide data entry and reporting for IEPA and OSHA regulatory agencies

• Work with Facilities Projects Team, Operations and Engineering Staff to review and ensure compliance with Job Hazard Analyses and pre construction work assessments risks.

• Provide guidance and oversight of environmental recordkeeping and compliance supervision

• Act as a regulatory resource in collaboration with the site JLL EHS manager and client EHS manager

• Work with operations and engineering teams to perform hazard (Risk) assessments and evaluations; implement risk reduction/mitigation strategies as appropriate.

• Provide for EHS performance data contributing to account wide EHS performance dashboard.

• Assess and identify appropriate resources and equipment necessary to fully support EH&S objectives.

• Inspect vendor operations using prescribed protocols.

• Collaborate with JLL vendor partners to assure they operate their businesses in compliance with JLL/Account requirements while on-site.

• Knowledge of local health and occupational safety requirements

• Proficiency in writing and reviewing safety risk assessments and job safety analysis.

• Efficient with productivity software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

• Exceptional communication skills: ability to support cross-functional teams through influence, advice, and modelled behavior versus micromanagement; excellent interpersonal skills; calm under pressure.

• A track record of championing speed, flexibility

• Proven self-starter with strong organizational skills, capacity to prioritize, sets aggressive goals and consistently delivers results.

• Excellent planning & organizational skills to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines

• Exhibits honesty & trustworthiness and is open to new ideas & willing to challenge status quo

Experience and technical skills Required

• Associates degree

• 2-5 years of experience in professional office environment

• Experience in software navigation

• Experience in construction and safety methodology
