Environmental Health and Safety Manager (HEA) - Environmental Health and Safety.
POSITION DETAILS
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will report to the Director of Environmental Health and Occupational Safety at Hunter College. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will provide management of Environmental Health and Safety programs for the administrative and academic areas of the College.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager duties include but are not limited to the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in industrial hygiene or related field, and or designation as Professional Engineer or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Experience in a college research environment preferred.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Manages academic and administrative environmental health and safety programs.
Monitors application and enforcement of all federal, state and local regulations, as well as University policy, on environmental health and safety issues
Assess risks and conduct inspections related to environmental health and safety in facilities including research and institutional laboratories
Administers biological, chemical, and radioactive waste disposal programs
Conducts faculty, staff, and student training programs and prepares communications
Works with members of the College community to contributes to projects with environmental health and safety implications
Responds to environmental health and safety complaints
Maintains systems to track environmental health and safety matters to meet reporting requirements; assures information is accurate and submitted on a timely basis
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. ($90,375 - $110,641)
