POSITION SUMMARY:
The scope for the role of EHS Manager covers all environmental, health and safety aspects for the manufacturing plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee the implementation and administration of new and continuing safety initiatives at MIA Products.
Possess a strong floor presence within the plant and conduct daily safety audits
Develop and implement all necessary safety and training programs.
Ensure that all employees follow all applicable environmental, health, safety and security guidelines.
Work closely with maintenance coordinating all necessary environmental and safety repairs.
Provide leadership to develop a culture that achieves a safe proactive work environment.
Train safety committee members to identify safety hazards throughout the facility and conduct monthly/ongoing meetings and communications with members.
Complete Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analysis to mitigate safety hazards
Maintain accurate records and logs on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis.
Replenish First aid cabinets
Develop EHS strategies, compliance goals/objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Organize/drive continuous improvement of EHS programs and ensure appropriate system reviews/audits are conducted to meet corporate EHS standards and meet all regulatory requirements.
Lead and facilitate the plant in OSHA complaint resolution, corrective and preventive actions, and complaint reduction activity across the enterprise.
Support Operations in embedding systemic corrective and preventative actions regarding internal and third-party audit deficiencies.
Lead activities that empower, engage, and involve operators with the information and tools for continuous improvement in facility manufacturing processes.
Provide the means for incorporating the necessary tools, equipment, and methods into the new and existing processes aimed at continuous improvement.
Participate in EHS bi-weekly calls, Summit meetings and corporate driven EHS driven programs.
Position oversees the facility's EHS related expenses and ensures EHS supplies are stocked and ordered.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum education required: B.S. degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental or technical related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of proven EHS experience in a CPG industry. Prior experience in food manufacturing and auditing.
Strong professional working knowledge of environmental, health, safety, security and process safety regulations and government compliance requirements.
Experience conducting accident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Knowledge and ability to direct and implement all safety training programs required under 29CFR1910 and /or related to the functional requirements of the position.
A proven record of positive and continuous results in Accident Prevention.
Knowledge of Federal and State-specific OSHA regulations.
Experience managing Safety Programs/Committee.
Qualified to train and write programs for: First Aid/CPR, Confined Space Entry including Emergency Rescue, Atmospheric Testing Procedures, Hazard communications and MSDS, Respiratory Protection, Forklift Safety, Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing, Fire Safety (prevention and protection), Fall Protection/Scaffolding/Elevated Work, Ladder Safety, Lockout/Tagout Safety
