MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Provides professional and technical advice, in a consultative capacity, on engineering designs used to prevent and eliminate environmental health hazards, specifically regarding the development and evaluation of the overall operation of sanitation facilities.
Responsible for overseeing the design, construction, force management and program support activities for multiple offices. Develops program policies and provides program oversight for an engineering program. Mentors junior engineers and considered the resident design expert.
Selective Placement Factor: Professional knowledge to effectively manage the design, maintenance, and construction of Health Facilities as evidence by possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) registration as a professional engineer by any US state or Territory. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
