We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Environmental Engineer to join our Bedford, NH office. The Environmental Engineer will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects throughout New England and beyond. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Conduct environmental remediation system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Perform data evaluation and reporting of operational and performance results for remedial systems including groundwater and soil vapor recovery and treatment systems.

  • Conduct field work to evaluate site contamination and cleanup options, including sampling of soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and air.

  • Assist with the preparation of work plans and reports for environmental site investigation and remediation projects.

  • Assist with the preparation of remedial alternatives assessments, including technology evaluations and cost estimates.

  • Assist with design and implementation of remediation systems, including pilot testing and oversight of site cleanups.

  • Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs.

  • Assist with preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents.

  • Coordinate with project team members and clients.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years relevant experience and possess a BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar relevant education.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as environmental/civil engineering, contaminated site investigations, and/or remediation.

  • Mechanical aptitude and being comfortable with conducting field work are preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.

  • Demonstrate strong quantitative and observational skills.

  • Solid attention to detail and technical understanding is required.

  • Client-service orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver to meet expectations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.

  • Additional consideration given to candidates with an EIT/FE certification.
