If you are interested in furthering your Commonwealth career as an Environmental Engineering Manager, apply today to become a part of our team!This is a supervisory engineering management position responsible for engineering oversight through the implementation of Safe Drinking Water regulatory requirements for Public Water System (PWS) construction, modification, and operations. The Environmental Engineering manager assumes responsible charge and supervises work of Environmental Engineers, Licensed Professional Geologists, and Environmental Protection Compliance Specialist(s) in the Safe Drinking Water Technical Services Section. Direct supervision activities include, but are not limited to: planning, developing, and coordination, for permitting activities, hydrogeologic review, Source Water Assessment and Protection (SWAP) initiatives, and Filter Plant Performance Evaluations (FPPE), for multiple types of public water systems.
Work hours and additional information:
Work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30 minute lunch period
Minimum Experience and Training: Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer; OR Five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design or construction.
Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state.
Condition of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Post Employment Requirement: Successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer license will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer license issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period.
