Environmental Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering and Environmental service firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of an Environmental Engineer in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and nationwide company offices and client/project locations.
• Assist in implementing a range of environmental projects, including site assessments and remedial investigations for soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and indoor air investigations in accordance with applicable regulations, procedures, and technical guidance.
• Review and evaluate data using approved procedures to support development of Conceptual Site Models, evaluate achievement of remediation objectives, identify data gaps, and recommend additional actions.
• Support preparing written reports, cost estimates, and other client deliverables, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs.
• Prepare and update Hazardous Materials Business Plans.
• Prepare and update Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans.
• Perform data collection activities and conduct site reconnaissance.
• Conduct field work. Time spent conducting field work will range between 20% and 80%, depending on project needs, and will generally be within California.
• Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols

Requirements

• B.S. degree in engineering or geology
• M.S. degree in engineering or geology strongly preferred
• 3+ years’ experience preferred with B.S. degree OR 1+ years’ experience preferred with M.S. degree
• Applicable professional registration a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software.
• Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to temporary assignments across the U.S.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to job sites and the office.
• Must comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
• OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.
