Your role at Baxter:

To handle and provide system and component design that reduce negative impact of Company activities on environment, serving as a technical advisor on environmental policies and Corporate standards to ensure regulatory applicability. Conduct technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyzing data and performing quality control interventions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Be responsible for the coordination, managing, education, planning and monitoring of the Facility's Environmental program.

  • Assist facility in meeting its responsibility for ensuring the facility aligns with all applicable Environmental requirements.

  • Be responsible for the implementation process to provide management assistance in maintaining ISO 14001:2017 certified status.

  • Define Company and regulatory requirements that apply to the facility. Ensure the facility keeps an updated Environmental Aspects List.

  • Develop and update facility-specific Environmental procedures, reports and plans, as appropriate.

  • Prepare, review, and revise environmental regulations and recommendation reports and supervise the progress of environmental programs

  • Responsible for handling and ensuring an accurate disposal of non-hazardous, regulated and special waste included in manifesting, transportation, reports EPA-EQB, record keeping.

  • Lead programs for the identification of opportunities and waste minimization and pollution prevention initiatives, to achieve objectives and goals included in the facility environmental program.

  • Conduct and detail regulatory and company Environmental compliance inspections and report non- compliance.

  • Promote a zero-harm work place, and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees.

What you'll bring:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health, Safety or related field

  • MS degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering, Management or in environmental science and technology

  • 3-5 years of validated experience in Environmental field with specific concentration in EPA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate with and direct others.

  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask.

LANGUAGE:

Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and no more than 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of the arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
