ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conducts field inspections year round

Reviews permits to operate air containment source for completeness, accuracy and compliance

Computes algebraic formulas and analyzes data to determine air pollution control results

Coordinates activities of the small business air pollution compliance assistance program

Examples of Duties

UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION

Represents the department to other agencies, committees, engineers, facility operators, and company officials to provide information and discuss environmental issues and projects

Attends training for professional development

Strictly adheres to standard operating procedures and other technical guidelines

Coordinates activities of the small business air pollution compliance assistance program

Performs scientific and mathematical calculations to support determination of proper regulatory classification

Determine appropriate air pollution compliance assistance needed by small businesses; plans and delivers seminars and classes to businesses and the public to assist regulated industries with compliance and pollution reduction

Researches, develops and presents recommendations to small businesses to encourage use of pollution prevention techniques and selecting cleaner materials and techniques

Develops and coordinates the content and information for dissemination through web and traditional resources to provide recommendations and resources for small business air pollution compliance assistance

Evaluates compliance plans submitted by companies, and prepares recommendations and modifications to achieve air pollution compliance

Makes recommendations to improve the degree of standardization, completeness, accuracy, enforceability and format of air pollution control permits

Applies for and manages grants that reduce air pollution from small businesses

Facilitates communications between District and regulated community

Disseminates information to the public to enhance air pollution compliance and promote new programs and initiatives

Interprets, reviews, analyzes and evaluates air pollution and control data from industry

Provides technical assistance and instruction, and discusses and explains inspections, investigations, environmental regulations, and procedures to the public and businesses

Prepares correspondence, reports, proposals and procedures

Performs related work

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Biological Science

Engineering

Environmental Science

Mathematics

Meteorology

Natural Science

Physical Science

Related field

WORK EXPERIENCE

Four years of environmental or natural resource: planning, research, enforcement, investigation, preservation, conservation or engineering experience

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must provide one's own source of transportation

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Must be eligible for certification as a State Peace Officer

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a Certificate in Visible Emission Evaluation issued by the State of Kentucky or obtain within six months of employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work

This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to use their knowledge of compliance to facilitate a project at it's early stages. Role Responsibilities: * Fulfilment of daily tasks relevant to the Travelex Transaction Monitoring & OFAC Policies & Procedures. * Support Travelex Compliance initiatives as communicated and driven by the NAM Compliance & Risk Manager. * Provide timely point of contact for Compliance-related queries from Travelex frontline staff. Key Accountabilities: * Operate and implement the TCSI &TCL "Know Your Customer" Programs and the Travelex Agent Management Policy. * Monitor transactions in the AML, KYC and OFAC screening queues – confirmation of positive or false-positive matches against globally recognized sanctions lists. * Real-time investigation of customer orders requiring additional information as flagged by Travelex's transaction monitoring platform/processes. * Assist with preparation for state and other regulatory examinations. * Draft regulatory filings including CTRs, SARs, CMIRs, and OFAC reports, for management approval. * Interface with Travelex frontline staff and relationship management teams to set expectations and provide support and guidance relevant to the Travelex AML Program. * Significant project involvement i.e. policy & procedure maintenance, point-of-sale upgrade requirements, ad-hoc business & regulatory reporting. To set you up for success we are looking for: * Basic knowledge of Federal "Know Your Customer" policies and AML guidelines. * Interested and remains current on AML regulations, news and related events. * Ability to work in a fast paced environment due to high degree of urgent requests. * Work independently and deliver results in a multi-task environment. * Demonstrate high degree of motivation, initiative and energy to contribute to the team's success. * Ability to read and understand basic business documents (e.g. IRS W-9 form, Articles of Incorporation, Business Registration Documents, etc.) * Demonstrate ability to work within a team and individually.
