As an Environmental Services Technician, you are a leader in infection control practices. You will perform a variety of environmental cleaning tasks to ensure a sanitary, safe, and pleasant environment for patients, employees, and guests throughout Samaritan Healthcare facilities and locations to include winter weather floor care.

Perform a variety of environmental services and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment for patients and guest
Maintain an awareness of surroundings and be alert to potential hazards
Routinely demonstrates both knowledge and skill in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods
Demonstrates safe handling and removal of medical and hazardous waste
Provides a clean and welcoming experience for guests and direct visitors to appropriate areas
You may qualify for this position with the following experience and competencies:
Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions. Must be alert to hazards.
Knowledge of common cleaning supplies and equipment; mops, dry and wet vacuums; the ability to use ladders
Possession of a valid motor vehicle license is required.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills: Seeks resources for direction, when necessary. Performs independent problem-solving and demonstrates logical and deliberate decision-making.
Performs actions that demonstrate accountability. Exercises safe judgment in decision-making. Practices within legal and ethical guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team
The ability to lift /carry up to 50 lbs.
This position entails frequent walking, sitting/standing, reaching, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, bending/stooping/crouching, twisting/turning, and repetitive movement.
This is a full-time position 40 hrs./wk., from hours of 3:00pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends.
Basic Life Support Heartsaver (HS) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire
