JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Manager will sell remediation, industrial services and transportation services to business and industrial establishments in the environmental and chemical industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service existing accounts and establish new accounts

  • Secure orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone

  • Gain opportunities to quote on customer requirements

  • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.

  • Develop presentations and marketing materials for customers both internal and external

  • Resolve customer complaints

  • Keep management informed of industry, and monitor competitor activities

  • Maintain and expand professional/technical knowledge

  • Keep accurate records

  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with customers

  • Regular and punctual attendance is required

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business development, sales, marketing or a related field, or will consider equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of (10) ten years sales experience in the environmental/chemical industry

  • Extended knowledge in environmental or chemical industry preferred

  • Familiarity of state and federal hazardous waste regulations preferred

  • Excellent communication, organizational, follow-through, and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, self-starter, with a personable and extroverted personality

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-faceted working environment

  • Aptitude for comprehending technical information

  • Be flexible and available to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.

  • Self-directed and motivated. Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver license required

BDM's assist both LendingOne and potential borrowers in assessing the borrower's business ventures, analyzing the borrower's income potential, credit worthiness, and advising the borrower regarding the business decision of using LendingOne financial products. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of real estate ventures and business operations, has a sense of urgency, initiative and competitive drive to get things done and will possess a natural enthusiasm in working with and through people in the process. We are looking for talented and competitive professionals with consultative sales experience that thrive in a fast-paced environment.
