PM Shift
3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, weekend rotations

Basic Function: Performs full range of basic and specialty cleaning tasks in area of assignment to maintain a healthy, clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and other staff members and in compliance with local, state and federal regulation and requirements.

Qualifications:
High school or equivalent preferred but not required.

Must be able to read, understand and carry out written guidelines, procedures and other material. Must be able to interpret and follow labeled direction associated with use of cleaning products and other items. Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions and requests in a manner to accomplish tasks in an appropriate and timely manner.

Must be able to understand and use computer operations associated with review and approval of personal time, accomplishing annual on-line mandatory training and updating personal information in the hospital computer database. Physically able to perform heavy manual labor for an entire shift, and able to operate electrical equipment. Prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided and immediate supervisor must validate full competency within the initial 90-day probationary period.

Basic Function: The Radiology Tech Assistant is responsible for assisting the imaging technologists, nurses, and radiologists with all daily activities of the department as described. These duties include maintaining adequate supplies in exam rooms, handling of oxygen tanks, developing and copying films, knowledge of radiology filing system, transporting patients to/from all imaging areas, greeting patients and assist in preparing the patients for exams, preparation of the examination rooms, and dismissing the patient after the exam is completed giving any special instructions needed. Properly identifies all patients for radiology procedures and safely transports or assists them to the radiology exam room. Transports supplies, equipment and instruments, charts, records, x-rays and reports for the department. Returns and /or deliver items to appropriate areas or personnel. Minimum Qualifications: High school Diploma or equivalent Demonstrates the competence to assist in the care for all patients Must have excellent people skills and desire to interact with public on constant basis Must have excellent communication skills and be able to understand both written and oral instructions Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as radiology patient transporter or nursing assistant Working knowledge of radiology/imaging areas Knowledge of medical terminology Participation in or desire to study Radiologic Science program or related course work Benefits: LMC is committed to offering quality, cost-effective benefits choices for its employees and their families.
