All about the role:

In this role you will be reporting to the EHS and Sustainability Director for Electrolux Major Appliances NA. You will be based in Anderson, SC and this role is onsite. The Site Environmental Specialist is responsible for directing all environmental compliance programs for the facility including ownership of the ISO 14001 management system. The role will support actions and projects to ensure Site regulatory compliance and management system conformance to reduce overall waste, energy, and water footprints.

What you'll do:

• Lead plant ISO 14001 and 50001 management systems

• Lead plant zero waste to landfill initiative to meet established targets

• Lead the "Green Spirit" resource management program for the Site (internal program for energy & water)

• Maintain facility environmental programs to ensure operations meet all legal and permit requirements (RCRA, Stormwater, Wastewater, Air), including all associated and supporting procedures, work instructions and tools necessary for proper implementation and associated reporting requirements.

• Ensure all environmental recordkeeping requirements from the permit and applicable regulations are met, including tracking of emissions, inspections, control device monitoring and preventative maintenance.

• Support and coordinate training with the learning organization as required by ISO system requirements, environmental permits or regulations, including development of environmental training content and conducting training, including, but not limited to hazardous waste management and storm water pollution prevention.

• Monthly reporting of environmental KPI's with detailed analysis of performance and areas of attention

• Support Site with accurate information regarding plant's environmental and sustainability performance

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Management preferred

• ISO 14001 system experience required

• 5+ years of experience in environmental management

• Previous experience managing environmental compliance programs

• Software skills: Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point
