Job Description

The Boeing Company is recruiting for an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Manager in Everett, WA and will work within the Boeing Commercial Airlines division.

The successful candidate will possess solid EHS knowledge and the ability to work strategically, pro-actively, and collaboratively with the EHS organization, EHS Leadership Team, Business Stakeholders, and supporting functions.

The position requires a leader that is versatile with strong leadership skills, including: agility, decision making, project/program management, creative problem solving, critical thinking, written and verbal communication, and an active relationship builder. You will be part of developing and promoting a culture of safety where human life and health is valued, it is the belief that all injuries and incidents are preventable and safety is key to a strong business.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and team building, project management and technical utilizing strong communication skills with emphasis on

developing individuals, teams and creating a diverse & inclusive work environment.

  • Advanced project management, business operations, and finance acumen.

  • Proactive in understanding and anticipating business and external stakeholder requirements.

  • Act as a strategic thinker to align external requirements within the broader organizational goals.

  • Effectively manage ambiguity with strong business judgment; collaborate and partner with business leaders.

  • Utilize excellent communication skills in both business and technical context and at all levels.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations in front of both small and large audiences at all levels.

  • Manage multiple projects and processes within complex environments.

Relocation available based on eligibility. There are two positions available, one that is 1st shift with the possibility of working 2nd shift 20% of the time and one that is strictly 2nd shift.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 3+ years leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

  • 1+ year leading, coaching and developing others (including those who are not your direct reports)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical bachelor's degree and/or a Master's degree in Occupational Exposure Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health

  • Knowledge of State, Federal, international regulatory requirements concerning Boeing engineering, production,

environmental compliance and supply chains

  • Previous Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) experience or regulatory responsibility in a managerial role.

  • Senior leadership experience reviewing, approving and implementing processes, to maximize productivity and ensure safety, security, environmental and regulatory compliance.
