Environment, Health And Safety Internship

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the weld, paint and assembly departments on the production floor to complete thorough ergonomic work studies.

• Evaluate, identify and document ergonomic improvements to body position(s), work tools and the environment.

• Demonstrate proper ergonomic techniques to the impacted staff to reduce potential work injury.

• Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Completed two years of study towards a Bachelor's degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics or related field.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong Organizational abilities.

• Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high level of professionalism.

• Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in a logical and rational manner; demonstrate "common sense", practical approaches.

• Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth and break down into components.

• Ability to demonstrate an outgoing, enthusiastic and positive attitude that establishes collaborative relationships with peers and allows adaptation to and operation in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Computer proficient with solid knowledge of MS office product suite.
