Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an entry-level marketing coordinator to work with our water & utilities group.

Responsibilities include coordinating and executing the proposal development process; assisting with proposal kickoff meetings; assisting with interview preparation and presentations; writing and editing marketing materials and technical content; helping to prepare and execute the annual marketing plan, schedule, and budget; offering input and guidance on project and team selection for proposal pursuits; organizing client events; attending trade shows and conferences; and other various marketing tasks. Travel may be required.


The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling four years of relevant experience. Any of the following is acceptable: bachelor's degree in marketing, business, journalism, communication arts, public relations, English; associate degree in marketing, business, journalism, communication arts, public relations, English, or related discipline plus 2 years of experience; no degree plus 4 years of experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

  • proposal submissions (RFPs, RFQs)
  • Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • writing and editing technical content using AP style guidelines and grammar
  • working at an architecture, engineering, or construction firm
  • basic graphic design layout/visual translation of information

This individual will intake project requests, maintain compliance documentation, and ensure projects run smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to manage many tasks with multiple contributors against set timelines. Essential Functions: * Coordinate incoming marketing and communications requests from across the organization, gather requirements and work with the Operations Manager to prioritize and assign tasks. * Provide administrative support in managing timelines with creative resources to ensure projects are implemented on time and in the most cost-effective manner. * Monitor asset reviews with stakeholders; provide status reports; deliver final assets to publishers; and archive assets according to pre-planned schedules. * Review marketing and external communication collateral for accuracy, own the compliance submission process, and administrative tracking. * Develop a deep understanding of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable. * Responsible for updating the digital asset management tool ensuring assets are properly tagged and organized according to guidelines. * Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes. * Manages multiple tasks, competing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity. * Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. * Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. * May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * 2+ years of relevant experience * 1+ year using a project management software platform and ability to learn new technologies * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a self-starter, customer-first approach. * Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Teams, etc.), computer software and online applications. * Ability to successfully work temporarily remote and eventually onsite in a team environment. * Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices to streamline processes. * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, project management or a related field.
