Come join our world class team as an Engineering Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Painting, sheet rock repair, ceiling texture

  • Maintain all facilities and operation systems in a safe and efficient working order (i.e. auto doors, exit doorways, required minor snow/garbage removal).

  • Perform daily rounds - check boilers, pools, common areas etc.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and guest rooms.

  • Attend to any work orders and both guest and departmental/employee requests.

  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.

  • Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.

  • Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed.

  • Maintain records of all work activities and support materials.

  • Provide written reports to other departments as needed.

  • Follow Hilton Brand Standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or trade school degree - required

  • At least one years experience in maintenance or painting/texture sheer rock repair - preferred

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to communicate detailed information to guests and employees. English proficiency

The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the daily operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments necessary to maintain the hotel to the highest standards. Responsibilities will include leading and motivating teams; contributing to profitability of the hotel by working within budget and controlling costs, expenses and labor; managing daily work flow; overseeing hotel recycling, departmental monthly budgets and forecasts, scheduling and payroll processing, maintaining linen and supplies par levels, and employee training. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): * Provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained. * Distribute and delegate work load to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor * Investigate complaints, evaluate corrective actions and implement plan to resolve and de-escalate conflicts. * Communicate effectively to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping in details of work. * Manage finances of housekeeping operations including budget, forecasts and inventory * Provide staffing, training, counseling and performance reviews for the housekeeping department. * Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters. * Comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation. * Ensure the Housekeeping Department leads the charge in regard to recycling * Solicit employee feedback and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns. * Emphasize guest satisfaction -Hilton SALT- during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement. * Capital budget, perform any additional tasks or projects as required. * Supervise the linen inventory based on forecast CPOR * Supervise and review with the staff all the Hot Sos reports * Maintain high moral, good work environment, sense of professionalism and guide the staff to increase productivity. * Act as Manager on Duty for select shifts, as part of the Manager on Duty Program Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous experience in managing a hotel/resort housekeeping department * Minimum of 2 years Supervisory/Management experience * Valid Colorado Drivers License * Proficient in Microsoft Office * English fluency * Bachelor's degree - preferred * Previous experience with Hilton systems - preferred * Bilingual - Spanish - preferred Enjoy the perks of a DoubleTree Employee and a Vail Resorts employee with just one job.
