About the role

The UX (User Experience) Design team specializes in human centered design. It is responsible for knowing the people it is designing for and the objectives of its stakeholders. It humanizes technology and empowers business.

As Analyst, UX Design, you will assist with customer engagements and create UX/creative transformation deliverables on projects. You will primarily focus on architecture task areas and usability testing. You will assist in workshops to gather stakeholders requirements using a pool of techniques to help break down barriers, communicate better and generate new ideas.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Execute user research with the right mix of methodologies such as user tests, in-depth interviews, focus-groups, ethnographic field studies and surveys

  • Facilitate brainstorm and work sessions with cross-disciplinary teams in order to move the knowledge of the research into a vision and design strategy

  • Support delivery and design of digital products or services employing the right mix of human-centered design processes and tools

  • Support change management execution at the appropriate phase in the adoption process of new product or service

  • Evangelize Experience Design within Avanade through information communication, formal presentations and training sessions

  • Work with other team members who lead various aspects of the project

  • Travel as needed.

About you

You are an innovator with knowledge of visual design capabilities and strategies. You have knowledge of UX disciplines such as UX research methods, information architecture, usability testing and content strategies. You may have knowledge of user experience disciplines such as content strategy.

You likely have a Bachelors Degree in interaction design, human factors, computer interaction, behavioral psychology or human/computer interaction. You may have some experience in UX work.

To support the client's events team with meeting room/conference center reconfiguration, resets, supply deliveries and other services as requested. To maintain the aesthetic qualities of the campus through inspection of common areas and conference/meeting rooms, ensuring proper set-up, preparation and cleanliness. Job Description Responsibilities * Conducts the physical movement of furniture, equipment, boxes and materials as needed for meeting and conference room set-ups, facility events, client moves, freight shipping and delivery, supplies, stocking, and the like * Set-up, maintain and break down meeting rooms * Under the direction and supervision of a skilled worker, may conduct minor repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, office and kitchen equipment, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles, etc. * With direction from a supervisor, prioritize work orders, handle urgent requests, respond to client calls as required, and complete any and all assigned facility support, clean-up, maintenance, moving, event support, set-up, and repair work * Expected to support the various skilled trade personnel at a facility or complex in the performance and completion of their duties as needed and assigned * Conducts physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, etc. noting anything that might be in need of repair, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and reports same to the appropriate building staff for resolution * Helps to ensure all building and maintenance policies, procedures, SOPs, codes, regulations, etc. are followed and enforced including safety systems and standards Requirements * High School Diploma or GED * Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written * Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness * Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work requests * Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position including bending, squatting, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
