CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Entry Level Utility Engineer for our Albany, NY and Syracuse, NY office locations. We're seeking candidates interested in growth, teamwork, and field/office experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Field survey of electrical distribution networks.

  • Data analysis.

  • Design in the field of power distribution.

  • New service and third-party coordination.

  • Interpretation of as-building documents for an existing client.

  • Travel to client sites in the New England area.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • EIT preferred.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0 years of experience is required; we are accepting entry level candidates for this position.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Experience with AutoCAD is highly preferred.

  • Must have ability to learn Work Management systems, GIS and SAP.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team/group environments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Excellent organizational skills required.

  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Valid US driver's license is required.

  • Electrical or mechanical systems design experience for industrial, municipal, commercial and institutional facilities through coursework or internships preferred.

  • Experience with power distribution through coursework or internships is preferred.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Principal Utility Specialist to join our Electric Transmission & Distribution group in the Syracuse, NY office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitors and reports on construction progress on utility transmission & distribution projects * Closes out client's construction work orders utilizing the client's GIS, SAP, and other electronic systems. * Travels and surveys existing utility transmission & distribution systems to collect data regarding existing system configuration. * Reviews existing system configuration and develops designs to accommodate client's desired system modifications. * Collects real estate information to facilitate installation of utilities. * Proficient in application of client's design and construction standards, and operating procedures.
