The Boeing Company is now hiring Entry Level positions for Structural Analysis and Design in the Saint Louis area.

These positions are in a variety of Boeing Divisions, including but not limited to; Strike, Surveillance and Mobility, Autonomous Systems and Phantom Works. Great opportunities exist on the F-15, F/A-18, 777X, Missile and Weapons, Phantom Works research and development, and other programs. As a structural analyst or design engineer, you will be exposed to many exciting opportunities and challenges.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This is a structural analysis or design engineering position for one or more Boeing St. Louis programs (F-15, F/A-18, 777X, Missile & Weapon Systems, Proprietary Programs, St. Louis Design Center, etc.)

  • This job might entail structural analysis using hand calculations, Boeing analysis tools and finite element modeling under the supervision of a lead engineer to support aerospace product development, production activity and fleet support.

  • Engineers analyze and test of mechanical designs and hardware to validate they meet customer structural integrity requirements and specifications.

  • This job may also entail structural design, using NX or CATIA, of detail parts, assemblies and installations, trade studies for weight and affordability, and dimension management analysis.

  • Engineers insure the form, fit and function of the products from conceptual design to delivery.

  • A strong background and interest in structural analysis and design, and a passion for how products are put together is highly desired.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree in Engineering

  • ABET is the preferred

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This organization supports the premier 5th generation air dominance fighter flown by the United States Air Force (USAF). Your role will require you to work as a member of a cross-functional team to integrate cutting edge technologies to maintain the Raptor's dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come. These positions will be based in St. Louis, MO. Position Responsibilities: * Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment. * Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers. * Performs limited detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations. * Supports team in performing spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems. * Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems. * Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts. * Works under close supervision. * Assists in establishing and documenting mechanical component and system level design requirements (e.g. performance, environment, functionality, life, envelope, integration). * Assists in performing and documenting analyses of mechanical components and systems using models and tools to validate or assess the design. Analyses include performance, root cause, sensitivity, tolerance, mechanism, dynamic, structural and thermal. * Assists in developing tools, techniques and products in response to gaps in technology road maps, and technology needs. * Assists in designing and developing mechanical components and systems and in creating technical data packages to explicitly define the product. * Assists in the development and maintenance of specifications for mechanical hardware. * Assists in the support of suppliers. * Participates in design reviews. * Assists in demonstrating and documenting compliance to applicable regulations and specifications by similarity, test, analysis, simulation and design reviews in order to deliver a compliant product. * Assists in creating plans, schedules, and procedures for tests of mechanical components and systems. * Supports testing (e.g., flight tests, hardware-in-loop simulations, qualification tests, functional tests). Assists in evaluating test data to validate components and systems against design requirements and objectives. * Assists in providing technical support to internal and external customers including production, suppliers and fleet operators by troubleshooting operational anomalies, production assembly or functional test issues or in-service incidents. * Assists in developing cost and time effective, creative solutions, and disposition of issues to ensure customer satisfaction. * Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems to facilitate knowledge retention for future use per applicable requirements. * Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts in order to grow the business. * Adheres to all bid and proposal policies and procedures.
