Entry Level Site Civil Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Hauppauge, NY office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our team to support our land development projects.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects

• Conducting site visits and assisting with construction oversight

• Civil engineering for site design including grading and drainage design, and utility design site

• Assist with the preparation of permitting, design, and construction documents

• Preparing plans and technical documents and reports

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Self-motivated

• Attention to detail

• Ability to think critically

• Excel at working in a team environment

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field

• 0-1 year of professional site/civil engineering experience

• AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience a plus

• Civil 3D and Site OPS a plus

• Experience with GIS Systems a plus

• Knowledge of state, county and local regulations a plus

Hiring Salary Range - $72,000 - $78,000. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
