What You'll Do

Bindery Operators work on a team in a fast-paced, heavy volume production setting. Here you will help in the manufacturing and packing/shipping of books and magazines. Bindery experience isnt necessary well train you on how to use the equipment and machinery. Warehouse, manufacturing, or mechanical experience is helpful though!

Job Features & Requirements

Entry Pay Range: $11.50-$13.50/hr, depending on experience.

Schedule Options:

      • Shift 1A (Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM 3:00 PM)
      • Shift 1B (Monday through Friday, 9:15 AM - 5:45 PM
      • Shift 2 (Sunday through Thursday, 2:30 PM 11:00 PM)
      • Shift 3 (Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 PM 7:00 AM)

High School diploma or equivalent.

Able to lift, pick up, and move 70+ pounds repeatedly.

Reliable transportation.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Drafter/Liaison supporting our manufacturing department, located in Poway, CA.. Under general supervision with some detailed instructions and with intermittent review, this position will review drawings, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Working from engineering notes, written instructions, and detailed sketches with some latitude for independent action, prepares readable detailed drawings, parts list, sketches, schematics, assemblies, and installation drawings for engineering or manufacturing purposes. * Develops manufacturing processes, procedures and tooling; trains appropriate staff. * Creates new or completes revised drawings showing dimensions, tolerances, tabulations, and appropriate sectional views in accordance with established procedures, practices, standards, machinist handbooks, and vendor catalog data. * Verifies own completed work, checking dimensions, materials to be used, and quantities. * Incorporates changes to existing drawings including redrawing or tracing as appropriate and making rearrangements of views according to instructions. * Maintains records, files, drawings and part lists, or other data essential to the completion of engineering drawings as required. * Other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications * Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one or more year(s) of experience as an entry level drafter. May substitute additional education in lieu of work experience. * Must have a working knowledge of basic drawing techniques and be skilled using 2D and 3D CAD modeling. * Must have a general knowledge of production and engineering support principles, theories and concepts; a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards; working knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing principles; and knowledge of tool design and concepts. * Requires intermediate knowledge in trigonometry, algebra, and plane and solid geometry as generally acquired through high school and/or trade school studies. * Requires good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Must have a sound knowledge of computer operations and software relevant to drafting tasks. * The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
