Year Up is a one-year, intensive program that provides young adults with hands-on skill development, corporate internships, an educational stipend, and coursework eligible for college credit.

The program consists of training in technical and professional skills, followed by a 6-month internship with a top company. Your internship may be at Bank of America, Google, Harvard University among other leading organizations in the Greater Boston, Massachusetts area.

TRC is growing tremendously and seeking anEntry Level Engineer Iwith a bachelor's degree in engineering or applied science to join our Integrity Engineering Services team. The primary focus of an employee at this level is to learn good engineering practices under the direct supervision of a more experienced engineer. This opportunity is full-time 100% REMOTE and can sit anywhere in the United States or work out of one of our 140 locations nationwide. SUMMARY:Under close supervision of a more experienced engineer, performs individual, routine tasks on a project to learn good engineering practices and TRC procedures. Procedures, techniques and final products for each assignment are clearly defined. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs tasks involving routine engineering calculations and the preparation of basic sketches in support of engineering activities. * Gathers and records information to be used in writing specifications and material * Organizes and tracks various project activities i.e. material requisitions, vendor submittals etc. * Prepares tables and written material for routine technical reports. * Gathers, organizes and maintains data sets for specific segments of a project. * Learn the discipline specific software packages. * Assist in cost estimate preparation. * Interfaces with the design/drafting group. * Reviews vendor drawings and bids to determine compliance with specifications. * Prepares information to be shown on drawings and reviews drawings * Undertakes assignments that require some independent work and responsibilities. * Interfaces with client's engineering representatives. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in engineering or applied science from an EAC/ABET approved college or university. EXPERIENCE: No minimum experience is required (entry level). LICENSING: Registration as an Engineering Intern desired. LANGUAGE SKILLS: * Requires good communication skills. * Must be able to write clearly and concisely to prepare reports, specifications and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: * Mathematical skills required for completion of a Bachelor's degree in engineering. REASONING ABILITY: * Able to identify problems and propose solutions or seek guidance from more experienced engineers. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Proficient in PC operation, including spreadsheet and word processing programs. * Strong attention to details. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to work flexible hours, occasionally in excess of a normal 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. * Ability to travel as dictated by project requirements. * Experience in database operations.
