Assists with the development of basic equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System. Compiles and analyzes technical data for equipment and tooling. Assists with compliance reviews regarding safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements. Supports the tracking of contractual performance milestones, the development of preventative maintenance and spares plans, assists with production readiness planning, and training of Production and Maintenance personnel. Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation. Assists with the disposition of assets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of basic equipment and tooling concepts.

  • Designs solutions for the Production System.

  • Compiles and analyzes technical data for equipment and tooling.

  • Assists with compliance reviews regarding safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

  • Supports the tracking of contractual performance milestones, the development of preventative maintenance and spares plans, assists with production readiness planning, and training of Production and Maintenance personnel.

  • Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation. Assists with the disposition of assets.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree required from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of CATIA software applications is required.

  • Experience with design engineering processes and effects to manufacturing

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Ability to work shipside with manufacturing support and manufacturing build team

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking highly-motivated and experienced Wire Design Engineers and Wire Installation Engineers to join the V-22 Program located in Ridley Park, PA. Position Responsibilities: Your duties as an engineer could include: * Design, develop, maintain and release cable/wire harness detail, assembly designs, and wiring diagrams (wire design) * Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs. e.g., 3D wire harness models, form boards, and installations. (wire installation) * Analyze results and perform design reviews. * Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests). * Document processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. * Develop statements of work, schedules and budgets. * Perform technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. * Analyze functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design and system architecture. The Boeing Plant in Ridley Park, PA, is home to the H-47 Chinook Helicopter and the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor. These aircraft are designed, manufactured, and tested at the site. In addition, the Ridley Park site hosts an Enterprise Support group which provides design and analysis of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for Boeing Commercial Aircraft and Military Derivatives. Boeing employs over 4,000 people at the site, more than 250 of them are Electrical Engineers. The plant is situated along the Delaware River approximately 10 miles southwest of Philadelphia, and 2 miles from the international airport.
