Entry Level Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Entry Level Environmental Engineer for our location in Clearfield, UT. This position is onsite, and will join a diverse team of engineers.

What You will do:

The primary responsibilities will be to provide technical services to the US Air Force and other Department of Defense customers who use Peraton's product Air Program Information Management System (APIMS). APIMS is a management tool used to comply with all aspects of the Clean Air Act, Storage Tanks, Water Quality, Facility Power, and Refrigerant Management regulations at ~200 industrial facilities. Assistance is provided remotely, and on-site, with travel expected 25% of the time.

• Develops, administers and implements environmental programs in accordance with governmental requirements.

• Monitors pollution prevention activities, compliance and auditing efforts.

• Conducts studies and prepares environmental impact reports for new construction projects, plant processes and permit changes.

• Reviews and analyzes environmental documentation issued by the federal EPA, state and local regulatory agencies.

• Determines impact on company operations and publishes compliance strategies and requirements.

• Evaluates proposed regulations to determine financial, industrial, public and environmental impact.

• Interacts with federal, state and local regulators to resolve compliance issues;

• Represents company in government and industry rule-making activities.

• Establishes permit requirements and assists in EPA, state and local regulatory audits

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's of Science in an Engineering or Environmental Management degree

• Some knowledge or familairity with Clean Air Act Compliance and/or Clean Water Act

• Be able to travel up to 25% nationwide and internationally

• Must be a US Citizen

• Be able to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

• Experience with APIMS Experience with Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act compliance and system evaluation

• Strong software skills as demonstrated through use and/or implementation of software tools and technology

• Ability to travel alone to customer sites, coordinate and communicate requirements, take feedback, and provide solutions.

• Experience with programming using SQL

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
