SUMMARY: This position may be responsible for teaching the following subjects: Introduction to Business, Principles of Marketing, and School-based Enterprise Operations Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA or Master degree in similar field desirable
Knowledge and/or experience in CTE desired
Willingness to engage in school-wide high school advisory and mentoring programs
Be up to date on current learning theory and state of the art pedagogy in teaching
Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships with students, staff members, parents and administrators
Has knowledge and experience of and/or willingness to gain knowledge of Competency-based Education approaches
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
Bilingual desired
Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired
Business and Marketing Teacher Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of advisor duties for (CTSO) Career and Technical Student Organizations (FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America and DECA).
Coordinate student engagement with the High School New Venture Challenge (HSNVC) at the University of Colorado Boulder
Sponsor student related groups and activities as assigned, such as but not limited to, the Westy Wolves Den.
Coordinate CDIP (Colorado Development Incentive Program) approved Industry Certification opportunities.
Knowledge of Perkins and Career and Technical Act funding procedures.
Attend Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee meetings throughout the school year. Ability to plan and conduct the meeting in a professional manner using proper meeting procedures.
Ability to communicate with Front Range Community College regarding Concurrent Enrollment/Articulated business classes.
Knowledge of the Colorado Community College System Career and Technical Education program approval process.
Knowledge of VE-135 data collection for the Colorado Community College System.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, the Google platform, and Canva.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Displays a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and the District's prescribed curriculum.
Plans instruction consistent with the District's curriculum for assigned subject areas/grade levels.
Plans for student differences and adjust instruction to meet student needs.
Implements continuous system of evaluations and provide students with specific feedback.
Serves as facilitator and coordinator of learning.
Establishes an effective system for classroom discipline per Board Policy and building regulations.
Organizes students for effective instruction to maximize the learning time for all students.
Fulfills contractual and professional responsibilities.
Submits required student record reports.
