What you get to do:

  • Proficiently executes audio / video / lighting cues, sound / video effects, mixes live microphones and musical instruments, operates audio / video / lighting consoles and equipment, performs stage crew duties for park shows and special events as assigned.

  • Assists with Install/Strike of lighting, audio, video, and electronic elements for shows, exhibits, attractions, and seasonal events.

  • Maintain show quality standards as part of the Training Team.

  • Use acquired knowledge and experience to assist and train less experienced technicians.

  • Create and maintain training material for SeaWorld show and event operations. Build and program Q-Lab sessions for SeaWorld shows and events.

  • Assist in the programming of digital audio consoles for SeaWorld shows and events.

  • Executes all pre-show and post-show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.

  • Participates in care and maintenance of technical equipment and facilities as assigned.

  • Consistently executes direction and show cues as directed by Entertainment Leadership.

  • Openly accepts performance critiques and feedback and adapts accordingly.

  • Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas.

  • Must be able to take audio and/or visual cues.

  • Maintains a safe work environment and meets safety requirements.

  • Maintains a positive and flexible attitude and adapts to changing demands.

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.

  • Sets a positive example for fellow ambassadors on how to Inspire our guests. Assists other Entertainment work areas within the department as assigned.

  • Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Advanced knowledge and operational skills of digital audio consoles from Yamaha and DiGiCo.

  • Advanced knowledge of complex audio/video systems and equipment including; Understanding of signal flow, video switchers, audio mixers, show control systems, wireless microphones, and computer-based media equipment.

  • Advanced knowledge of Q-Lab 3-5

  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced audio/video issues.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

What else is important:

  • Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed

  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)

  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes

  • Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals

  • Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Compensation: 19.75 USD Hourly
