How we LEAD:

The Enterprise Product Owner, Marketing and Promotions (PO) is a product ambassador and key technology contact that helps UMG know, own, and grow our audience, content, and rights. He/she drives customer and stakeholder engagements to understand and translate the business vision for the products and services of Marketing into technology features and tactics for delivery.

The PO engages resources and builds relationships with Marketing constituents and technology executives and is a trusted advisor to inform and influence product planning and feature prioritization. He/she understands and anticipates the customers' needs and vision to ensure the business strategy is translated into actionable work items to manage and deliver.

The PO owns the end-to-end product planning and has an in depth understanding of the products, roadmaps, their customers, and audiences. He/she embraces agile principles including collaboration, fostering a culture of openness, team self-organization, continuous improvement and adapts to emerging business needs.

How you'll CREATE:

  • Collaborate with Marketing partners to develop and maintain the product roadmap and translate the roadmap into requirements (features, stories, and acceptance criteria).

  • Own/lead the audience development roadmap and other technology toolset requests enabling both centrally governed Marketing activities and independent needs from the territories or labels.

  • Engage with other Product Owners to ensure alignment in timing, funding, redundancies, dependencies; e.g. e-commerce lead, Data lead, Release Planning Lead, etc.

  • Partner with the business to create project/program justification and funding requests; includes budget management and resource planning for multimillion-dollar projects.

  • Manage small team of Business Analysts and Project Managers

  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, mitigation and executive escalations.

  • Define and implement the transformation change management strategy and transition plan with a primary focus on technology integrations, dependencies, merged timelines, modifications and sprint prioritization.

  • Ensure suggested business transformation activities are aligned with technology capabilities and timelines enabling the strategic outcome desired by the stakeholders.

  • Drive process change across multiple teams, business units and phases, aligning business opportunities with the appropriate process outcomes from technology changes.

  • Provide best in class tools and services to business users.

  • Empower Marketing product commercialization (if/where applicable).

  • Review and enforce Marketing product security and compliance.

Bring your VIBE:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product/Project Manager or Technology Lead.

  • Delivering B2C, global CRM, or Marketing solutions for internal and external customers.

  • Understanding audience build, segmentation, and multi-channel marketing

  • Managing a project team of 5+ team members using agile or waterfall methods.

  • Managing packaged, custom build, or SaaS application projects.

  • Working with geographically dispersed / global teams and third-party vendors.

  • Managing large, complex, cross functional programs and projects.

  • Knowledge of Agile principles (User Stories, Velocity, Retrospectives, and Product Demos).

  • Familiarity with Miro, JIRA, MS-Project, Microsoft O365, and Visio is a plus.

  • Marketing and audience management knowledge a plus.

  • Music or entertainment industry experience a plus.

  • Solid understanding audience and Marketing principles.

  • Extensive experience managing and building customer relationships and engagements.

  • Customer focused and promotes cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent leadership, team building, communication, and conflict management.

  • Ability to communicate complex and compelling story to influence and inspire customers.

  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.

  • Strong technical aptitude and experience working with technical delivery teams.

  • Ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of external and internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal, written and visual presentation skill tailored to diverse audiences.

  • Excel at decision-making, consensus building and conflict management.

  • Liaison between users/clients and the software development team.

  • Problem-solving analytical skills, persona development and journey mapping.

  • Reprioritize and adjust delivery dates/priorities to meet changing business needs.

  • Ensure optimal Marketing product performance and support.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Product Owner, Product Management, or Project Management training a plus.

  • Marketing or Audience training a plus.

  • Product/Agile/Project Management certification (CSPO, CSM, PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe) a plus.
