Responsible for installing, implementing, administrating and maintaining a portfolio of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.  Monitor, trouble-shoot, and fix ERP issues. Contact and work with software vendors and perform enhancements and upgrades.

Provide configuration, implementation, enhancements, and support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Analyze and process software to determine District functionality and impact.

Evaluate, manage, and ensure adherence to best practices toward installation, implementation, and maintenance of ERP systems. Keep up-to-date with current technical ERP knowledge and processes. Provide technical expertise in the development of specifications and evaluations for software applications.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ERP system related problems. Coordinate with Database Administrators and relevant Systems Administrators regarding performance monitoring.

Manage backup and recovery strategies. Determine and understand impact of applying upgrades to the system. Determine user support problems and resolution.

Manage and monitor ERP systems and take corrective action to prevent or minimize system down time. Analyze test results and report results to supervisor and other staff members. Maintain system documentation and inventory of records.

Manage, install, and perform software upgrades. Install vendor software patches to meet District needs. Carry out security audits, address security issues and comply with operating standards.

Act as technical expert for user support inquires. Conduct research on ERP systems and protocols supporting procurement and development efforts. Contact and work with vendors in support of procurement and development efforts.

Coordinate work activities with other areas. Work with Database Administrators and Developers to insure application integration. Participate in projects to implement and test ERP software applications.

Adhere to change control processes and configuration management standards, department and District policies and procedures. Make policy recommendations and implement changes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's Degree and Six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred.  The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.

2. Proficiency in ERP Ellucian Banner.

3.Experience with Oracle Database Management System (DBMS).

4.Experience with web-based application stacks.

5.Experience with Windows client and server platforms.

6.Experience with Linux servers.

7.Working knowledge of Windows and Linux security.

8.Working knowledge of server and application virtualizations.

9.Experience conducting backups, restores, and troubleshooting ERP issues.

Special Conditions:
1. This is a security-sensitive position as defined under the Texas Education Code, Section 51.215; the successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check, as permitted and/or required by applicable law, and in accordance with the College's policies and procedures.

2.Job will require working irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Copies of transcripts must reflect completed coursework and conferred degrees. All academic coursework and degrees must be from an accredited college or university or be certified by an acceptable agency that the institution is recognized by the appropriate governmental agency in its home country (this is generally stated in the degree evaluation).

Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework.

Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation will not be considered.

Out-of-town candidates invited for an on-campus interview will be reimbursed for one-half of the transportation cost for travel performed within the United States. The College will arrange and pay for up to two nights lodging.

 The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
