About the Role

The Enterprise Site Support (ESS) Analyst is the main point of contact for employee computer support. The Enterprise Site Support Analyst is a member of the Enterprise Site Support (ESS) team within IT Operations.

Job Scope:

Work for this position is typically governed by established procedures and situations are generally routine/recurring. Job is made somewhat complex by the location of the facilities and resources at each site.

Communication/Customer Contact:

Communication skills are necessary as the position may interact with other employees, customers, vendors, contractors and/or suppliers. Contacts are typically face-to-face but may be via telephone.

Supervision/Management:

Position is not supervisory in nature.

What you'll do: (this list is not all inclusive)

• Interact with all levels of users in the company, including senior executives.

• Performs and coordinates preventive maintenance on computer equipment on a continued basis; coordinates the installation, discontinuation, and relocation of equipment.

• Participates in the coordination and installation of new or modified equipment and local area networks; performs troubleshooting, first-level diagnostics.

• Coordinates the installation of equipment, lines, and software necessary to meet the requirements for the site

• Accountable for all SOX, Change Management, and Incident Management compliances.

• Responsible for adhering to Matson's IT site standards and would participate in incorporating industry best practices into site support operations.

• In addition to those essential job functions identified above, individuals in this position are also responsible for performing other duties or assigned tasks.

You have these skills:

• Excellent problem solving and communications skills, especially over the telephone.

• Good interpersonal skills, highly energetic and attention to customer service.

• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of wireless technologies is preferred.

• Good verbal communication and customer service skills (in English).

• Ability to read and write English in order to complete paperwork.

• Must exercise good judgment.

• Must be conscientious and aware of safety procedures and issues.

• Knowledge of good lifting techniques.

And these qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License and ability to safely operate a vehicle.

• Experience in setup, configuration, troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software (Windows 11 and above is required).

• Experience with Windows desktops and notebooks in a networked environment.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 or equivalent applications, cloud-based applications such as Office 365, Zoom, Teams and SharePoint.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network services (i.e. DNS, DHCP, etc.).

• Experience with Active Directory concepts and administration.

• Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment.

• Experience supporting a variety of Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

• Experience supporting mobile devices, including Apple iOS, and Android OS.

Extra credit if you have:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience is desirable.

• Previous experience working in a technical support role especially with heavy user interaction is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

• Must be able to operate equipment in a warehouse, including a computer, which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, fingering, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of hands and feet.

Work Environment:

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand. Overtime may be mandatory when needed.

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, printers, scanners, and smartphones. Conditions may also include exposure to environmental noise.
