Job Overview

Provide support for Enterprise/National Managers in North America primarily in the area of Vendavo, and RFQ's with specific focus on price quotes and deviations. Assist Managers with other administrative tasks to further reduce their office time.


  • Process renewal deals for approval and assist with quotations

  • Maintain National/Enterprise Account Database and Manual Contracts

  • Assist Managers in creating and update RFQ's and Net Cost Calculators

  • Assist online RFQ's completion (very time sensitive)

  • Work directly with Distributor

  • Inside Sales Contact for Manager (work directly with Distribution)

  • Work directly with Plant Accounts, Marketing, Portfolio and Customer Experience when quoting Non-Standard Items

  • Work with Equipment Team to process equipment requests

  • Enter Vendavo deals for non-standard quotes/RFQ's once business is obtained

  • Work closely with Manager to maintain accurate pricing and eliminate inactive deals

  • Act as a liaison between the Rebate Team, Customer Experience and Sales to assist in issue resolution, particularly related to missing deals

  • Ensure consistent pricing for deviated pricing at multiple locations for Enterprise, National and Cross Regional Accounts

  • Upon completion of price updates, communicate to Manager/Distributors pricing reports reflecting new price

  • Monitor submissions of Prospect deals to ensure timely processing and eliminate credits or incorrect billing on orders

  • Update deals submitted on "DNU" customer records and enter new deals as required

  • Request changes for customer records / master data as needed and add client name.

  • Aid counterparts in managing workload demands

  • Problem solve pricing issues for Sales Reps / Customer Service / Sales Administration / Inside Sales and Deal Desk

  • Create and maintain One Drive Documents to communicate progress of projects

  • Primary communication mainly through telephone and email

  • Field questions from Managers and Sales Reps and provide support in the following areas:

  • Ad Hoc sales reports (BW, Vendavo)

  • Support Sales Directors/Reps/Enterprise Managers/Sales Managers/Deal Desk/Inside Sales in all areas of Product Care as needed

  • As required, assist with projects defined by Manager


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • College Degree or work experience in Sales Support, Customer Experience, or other relevant experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Vendavo expertise preferred

  • Strong product knowledge, especially Product Care materials

  • Working knowledge or understanding of pricing billing types(Bill @ List, Bill @ Dev, Into Stock, and Net Bill)

  • Strong Excel, One Drive Documents and Outlook

  • Knowledge of reporting systems (BW, SAP, Vendavo)

  • Knowledge of Dunn and Bradstreet (Avention) and search engines (create Ad Hoc Reports search for company and subsidiaries)

  • Independent thinker/decision maker, with ability to use good business judgment

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required

  • Willing to work in a team atmosphere or independently

  • Candidate must be willing to work flexible/extended hours on occasion or as needed to support price increase(s) or special work-related circumstances

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Strong math capabilities

The Sales Engineering team is responsible for the overall technical aspects of pre-sale activity, including technical presentations, customer requirement gathering, pre-sale designs, capital requirements, and identifying strategic and field trial opportunities. The Director of Sales Engineering will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing all Pre-Sales technical support for Spectrum. This position requires an accomplished technical professional with experience and knowledge of service provider solutions and the demands of enterprise markets for services and connectivity. The Director of Sales Engineering will interface with counterparts in Product Development, Corporate/Regional Engineering, Sales, Operations and Training to ensure that Spectrum Enterprise processes and products support the achievement of sales objectives.
